I helped design and make these. I think they’re gorgeous.
Charred cedar steps, weathered steel, and a galvanized handrail. We finished installing them today.

I love the cor-ten steel. That and copper are my go to metals for almost every job unless a customers specifies otherwise.

i have a project in Maine and their pretty relaxed on code up there. Is that Corten steel? I love that stuff.

It’s mild steel which we’ve weathered, cor-ten was 30 times more expensive.

That’s a good way to put it. I use them because they can help age a design while remaining contemporary.
We built a living wall divider with it for one job.

They like to brag about how the rust won’t run off and stain things (it still does). That wasn’t really an issue for us as we’re out in the prairie anyway.
